What this is
No Contact 40 Days is a streak tracker, not a therapy platform. It helps you count days since last contact, log your reasons and red flags, survive weak moments (Rescue Mode: 4-7-8 breathing, your ick list, a 10-minute wait timer), and see your progress in a way that means something.
It does not diagnose, treat, or counsel. If you're in crisis or dealing with something clinical — depression, anxiety, domestic abuse, or anything that needs professional attention — please talk to a qualified professional or call a local support line. The app is not a substitute for that.
Our content standards
Every claim on this site is sourced to peer-reviewed research, and we say so explicitly. We don't use invented statistics, vague "studies show" framing, or made-up percentages. If we reference a finding, it's from a named, citable study.
The two core studies we cite throughout:
Fisher, H.E. & Brown, L.L. (2010). "Reward, addiction, and emotion regulation systems associated with rejection in love." Journal of Neurophysiology, 104(1), 51–60. This is the basis for framing breakup craving as a neurological response — why reducing re-exposure to reminders is more than just advice.
Lally, P., et al. (2010). "How are habits formed: Modelling habit formation in the real world." European Journal of Social Psychology, 40(6), 998–1009. This is the basis for the ~66-day habit-formation figure and for framing the 40-day target as grounded rather than arbitrary.
We also reference Bowlby and Ainsworth's attachment theory where attachment styles are discussed. When we say something is "consistent with" research vs. "proven by" it, we mean it — we don't overstate what the evidence says.
What we are not
We are not therapists, counselors, or licensed mental health professionals. We are not affiliated with the researchers we cite. The guides on this site are informational — to help you understand what's happening and what tends to work, not to substitute for professional support.
We are not a "get your ex back" service. The app is built around your recovery, not around engineering a specific reaction from another person. Some guides cover that angle because it's a real question people arrive with — but the honest position throughout is: start with whether it's actually a good idea, not with tactics.
The app
No Contact 40 Days is available on iOS. It's free to try (7-day free trial), then $9.99/month or $19.99/year. There is no free tier — the paywall is upfront, because we'd rather you know the cost before you're invested in using it.
The team
No Contact 40 Days is built and maintained by Migdio Media LLC, a software company founded by Roberto Escobar. The app is built with Capacitor (iOS). The guides on this site are written in-house — we don't outsource content to agencies or AI-only pipelines — and reviewed for accuracy before publishing.
No Contact 40 Days is a personal-motivation and self-improvement tool. It is not therapy or medical or mental-health advice, and it is not a substitute for professional care. If you're struggling, please reach out to a qualified professional or a local support line.
